To 14 Feb. THE WAR EFFORT - An 'ad hoc coalition of artists' [including K-Foundation's Bill Drummond, Tracey sanders-Wood, American Casey Orr, and '24449753' an ex-serviceman] who together 'make no claim to a fixed strategy' yet are united by their response to 'the War against terrorism', apparently being waged in our name via 'politricks'. So then, then this bunch feel 'the need for an alternative cultural reaction to war' whereby they are 'rejecting the idea that art should be neutral,' and instead engage with what they view as being tantamount to 'a new barbarism' and question 'militarism as a failed response to social inequality.' Fair dinkum. And highly recommended. Note Bill Drummond is due to talk about the show on Thursday 23 jan, 5pm-7pm.
